November will remain dull and rainy at the weekend, although temperatures will gradually rise again. Moist but increasingly warmer air continues to flow into Germany between the high-pressure area “Stefan”, centred over the British Isles, and a low-pressure zone over eastern Europe. The weather will therefore remain unsettled and windy, but according to weather service Meteomedia, the snow is over for the time being.
“At the start of the new week, high pressure from the west will slowly take hold. With temperatures above ten degrees, the sun will appear for longer again,” meteorologist Holger Starke said on Friday. The German Weather Service, however, says: “The sun has a good chance, especially in the mountains, while lower areas often remain grey — typical November.” Strong winds should also be expected in the north.
