Kusnezowa and Swonarewa take the doubles title in Melbourne
The Russian duo, Swetlana Kusnezowa and Vera Zvonareva, the Italian women defeated Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in women's doubles bei den Australian Open in Melbourne.
Kusnezowa / Zvonareva beat the two Italians in the final in Rod Laver Arena Errani and Vinci mit 5:7, 6:4 and 6:3.
It was the Russian duo's first Grand Slam title together.
The two winners, who also intend to compete together at the Olympic Games in London, collected total prize money of around 370.000.- euros.
Back in 2005, the winner was Kusnezowa im Damendoubles with Alicia Molik the Australian Open against Lindsay Davenport + Corina Morariu mit 6:3 and 6:4.
She also won the women's singles US Open against Jelena Dementjewa mit 6:3 and 7:5.
2009 she won in women's singles the French Open against Dinara Safina mit 6:4 and 6:2
